Whats new in this release?
We have completely revamped the interface. Lets start in a sequential manner to list all the modification made.
-
The default page now is the Welcome page.
-
We have introduced link based browsing of information and all the links have been placed on a right hand LINKS PANEL. There are 3 links in total and each one allows navigation to a specific page with pre-defined processing. The look and feel for the page shall be constant for every new link visited with only the content of the main window (Left Window) being changing.
-
Link 1:
(Welcome) It displays static help text that defines the new introductions and its utility.
-
Link 2:
(Keys Information) This link allows browsing of keys attached to the server. It displays identical contents to the previous versions (of SKLM) that allowed browsing of keys, license, and cancel license.
-
Link 3: (
Configuration
) This is the latest introduction to the SKLM 1.3.2. It allows setting up information input to the server configuration file. This file is used for startup information of the server; like, who will be allowed to access the server information, what will be the server startup port what will be the SKLM port, will the responses from the server
be logged, if yes then under which file name, will error information be also logged, if yes under which file name, which protocols specific thread shall be started that will diligently listen to the protocol specific input requests.
-
New input panel for manipulating the configuration parameters for the server startup. (Sntlconfigsrvr.xml)
-
Restricted viewing of server information, based on IP addresses defined in the white list of the server configuration file.

What happened to the plain old Keys Information Applet?
All the information still exists. The interface has been redone to give it a more pleasant touch.
What is this configuration tab?
Please refer to the SKLM readme.pdf for a detailed elaboration of the topic. It covers how to use and what information is represents.
What is the benefit of this remote administrator restriction?
Previously any user that knew the server IP could view the keys information and look at the license usages. It was leakage if information that the ISV is unaware of. Now with the introduction of IP based information viewing it is only allowed for the defined list of users which are checked against the list prepared at the time of server startup.
Will changes done to the configuration file reflect immediately?
No the changes done to the server shall not be reflected in the server processing immediately, instead they can be viewed immediately via the configuration applet but shall not be updated to the server functioning and will only be reflected once the server restarts.
